Last week we launched “End-to-End Security to EAS Update with Code Signing”. This will save you time in the future because you won’t need to update the version for each release anymore, and your library will be immediately compatible with new expo releases (provided that there have been no breaking changes to the config-plugins API, which is relatively stable at this point). If you are a library author, we recommend referring to the updated “Developing a Plugin” guide for more information on how to update your library to this style of imports. Starting with SDK 47, we re-export and from the expo package and import the libraries with expo/config-plugins and expo/config (notice there is no more leading ) “ RFC: File System-Based Native Routing with Expo and React Native” □ Config plugins Give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback! In the future, we plan to integrate the router more deeply into the experience of building an Expo app. Use or higher for compatibility with SDK 47. We think it will change the way that people do routing in React Native and Expo apps. In case you missed it, we recently released a beta version of a filesystem-based routing API built on top of React Navigation it’s called Expo Router ( read the blog post). Beta release of file system-based routing with Expo Router. Please note that we do not yet provide a mechanism to enable Fabric in managed projects - although you could do this with a config plugin, we don’t recommend it yet. All other expo-* modules are expected to be compatible with the New Architecture. We’re also working on support in expo-dev-client. Remaining view-based modules that don’t yet support Fabric are: expo-apple-authentication, expo-barcode-scanner, expo-blur, and expo-gl. The following Expo modules support Fabric as of SDK 47: expo-av, expo-camera, and expo-linear-gradient. Experimental support for Fabric in several Expo module view-based components. The version of Hermes included in React Native 0.70 and Expo SDK 47 also now supports the Intl API! Refer to the React Native CHANGELOG and React CHANGELOG for a complete account of changes. These new releases bring us closer to supporting the New Architecture in more React Native apps. Hermes inspector supports the New Architecture / JSI, unlike like debugging remotely in Chrome with JSC. “Open JS Debugger” in apps with Hermes enabled will open the Hermes inspector in Chrome DevTools.
